Материалом для данной статьи послужили как данные, собранные британскими антропологами в начале прошлого века, так и наблюдения автора во время полевых исследований в деревнях нага начиная с 2012 г.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The present case study dwells upon the vision of a human head in the popular mind of the Naga tribes living in the state of Nagaland, India, in whose perception a human head has direct association with the fertility of both man and land, which triggered the desire to possess more heads and, consequently, resulted in head hunting once widespread in the countries of South-East Asia, Burma, Indonesia, New Zealand. The paper is based on the material provided by the monographs of British anthropologists published in early twentieth century and the field work done by the author in Naga villages after 2012.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>охота за головами</kwd><kwd>социально-психологический архетип</kwd><kwd>племя</kwd><kwd>анимизм</kwd><kwd>миф</kwd><kwd>нага</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>head hunting</kwd><kwd>social-psychological archetype</kwd><kwd>tribe</kwd><kwd>animism</kwd><kwd>myth</kwd><kwd>Naga</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Медведев 2017 – Медведев С.В.
